New Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke admitted his disappointment with his performance in his debut for the club, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Leicester, despite having golden opportunities in the first half. However, he is not losing confidence and wants to get more chances in the home game against Everton (24 August).
Solanke join Spurs from Bournemouth for a fee believed to be in the region of £65million last week and was handed a free kick in the 2024-25 season, but was caught off guard in the first half and several times during the game, but he still played the full 90 minutes looking tense.
Looking back at the events at King Power Stadium, the 26-year-old wants to do better, promising to train hard and improve on his shortcomings in preparation to take on the home fans.
“It was great to make my debut,” the England star told Spurs Play.
“I have been with the team for over a week now, Promotion Ufabet and it is the moment I have been waiting for,”
“It was great to play with the lads in front of the fans but it’s just a shame we misse out on the three points.”
“We will go back and study the match records and improve it. Hopefully, we can get 3 points in the next match.”
Solanke’s personal record against Everton throughout his career is good, winning five of the nine meetings he has faced ( D2 , L2 ), scoring two goals but also collecting four yellow cards.
